Summer School (Grades 7-8)

At the end of the year, a 7th or 8th grade student who has failed more than one major subject and does not successfully pass a corresponding remedial summer school course may be retained in the present grade. If all courses are failed, the student may be unable to schedule three courses in summer school. Major subjects are defined as Math, English, Social Studies, and Science for summer school eligibility.

Educere Remedial Course Program is Wyomissing Area's approved credit recovery program for students. The cost of each credit recovery course is $195.00 and requires computer and internet access. Other options include Keystone credit recovery correspondence courses (paper/pencil - $116). Both credit recovery options will be completed during a 5-week summer school program which requires mandatory attendance.
