This year, Wyomissing Area High School students used their art skills to help the community in collaboration with Opportunity House. Led by art teacher Laura Zamperini, students created ceramic bowls and donated them to Opportunity House for its annual Souper Bowl Fundraiser. Each person who attends the yearly event receives a donated bowl as well as a light meal of soup. Attendees also enjoy a silent auction. All funds earned benefit programs offered by Opportunity House.
Together, students created and donated 57 bowls, a new record for the District! Freshman Kaiya Kiester also received special recognition at the event for her excellence in design.
