Model Senate Visits the State Capital!

The Model Senate program culminated with their annual trip to the State Capitol hosted by Senator Judy Schwank. This year’s visit was filled with many highlights!
⭐️Governor Josh Shapiro surprised students with a visit to the State House where he spoke about the new program that will pay student-teachers a stipend while completing their program.
⭐️Our Spartans were invited by a PSEA lobbyist to join Governor Shapiro on the stairs of the rotunda as he delivered his address to the Commonwealth.
⭐️Our Spartans met with Wyomissing's state representative, Johanny Cepeda-Freytiz who gave them a quick tour on the floor of the House of Representatives.
⭐️The day ended with our Model Senators debating and voting on the bills they've been working on for the past three months.
